Tope Alabi in trouble over tribute song to Queen Elizabeth (video)

Gospel singer Tope Alabi is presently mocked and criticized online for releasing a tribute song in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth, who died on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

Kemi Filani recalls that Queen Elizabeth, Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, and the nation’s figurehead for seven decades, died aged 96.

“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

With this latest development, her eldest son Charles, 73, automatically becomes king of the United Kingdom and the head of state of 14 other realms, including Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.

In a bid to pay tribute to her, Gospel singer Tope Alabi released a video of collated photos of the Queen with a composed song in her honour, an act that many of her followers didn’t appreciate.

“When I heard the news I was shocked and sad, though it’s better on the other side, I know it is peaceful on the other side, but we are pained you had to leave us this soon. We don’t want you to leave, we didn’t plan to pay tributes to pay this soon, you love everyone and you are so kind” the lyrics of the tribute song reads in part.

Many of her fans made jest of her and crucified her for the act of “eye service”

“I find this hilarious and stupid. You don’t want her to leave, at 96? Please which tribute did you release for the Alaafin of Oyo when he died or even Ada Amaeh the actress, it is Queen Elizabeth you are doing eye service for” one Aanma wrote

You are very very stupid, what do you even know about Queen Elizabeth, the woman she is singing for is the one that inslave so many Africans, including Nigeria and it is like you don’t even know where you came from and moreover the woman is 96 years old so why are you crying and why is she singing for her is she crying that the woman is not old enough to die or is she crying for her that she is not supposed to die we Nigerians should guess since the people that made Nigeria like this we are singing for be careful.

Where is her sense… Tope you should be ashamed of yourself… As if she ever came to your fathers house before dying…. The only thing she did was to oppress and ruin all that we could have been.

The song she used was the song she sand for one of the artist in the industry.
Go on YouTube and check Aofe kolo by tope alabi.
She didn’t sing the song for her, she only used it as a background music for the pictures of Elizabeth which was combined.
