Nollywood veteran actor, Richard Mofe Damijo has cried out as he speaks on the Lekki Tollgate massacre that happened on the 20th of October, 2020.
Today makes it a year innocent Nigerian lives were lost in the cause of freedom from police brutality and bad leadership.
KemifilaniNews recalls that the Nigerian youths had engaged in a peaceful protest against police brutality and bad leadership. However, what stood as a peaceful protest turned out to be a bloody barrage by the Nigerian military at the Lekki Tollgate a year ago.
Taking to his Instagram page, RMD said that there are questions that are yet unanswered by the Nigerian government who have refused to acknowledge the fact that there was gunfire that killed many youths on that day.
According to him, the cold-blood murder still lingered in his mind till the very moment and can never be forgotten as time can never heal the wounds of millions of Nigerians.
He wrote:
Questions still linger
Answers too far fetched
Time can’t heal these wounds
Twentieth of october twenty twenty
We remember still
Will time ever heal these wounds?
