In a recent events, media personality Radiogad has taken center stage by offering a piece of advice to the acclaimed artist Wizkid.
Radiogad minced no words, when he expressed that Wizkid’s practice of throwing money in the air as a form of charity is not just disrespectful but also lacks sincerity. According to Radiogad, people scrambling for money like it’s a competition, reminds him of a scenario where individuals are treated as if they were slaves.
The media personality went on to stress that there are more dignified way of helping people. Radiogad proposed that the funds be given in an envelope, as it shows more respect and genuine generosity. He also drew contrast to artist Davido’s charitable ways , statung that Davido’s giving is more sincere.

These remarks from Radiogad came in response to a recent video featuring Wizkid in Surulero, where he was captured showering money on the crowd. Radiogad went on to state that such a spectacle would not be acceptable in more reserved cultures, particularly in the Western world. To him, making people struggle for money more indicative of showing off than actual assistance.
Recall that about a week ago, Wizkid had earlier announced his intention to donate a substantial sum of 100 million Naira to support underprivileged children in Nigeria. Also some few days ago, media personality Victor, had echoed some sentiments shared by a section of Wizkid’s fanbase,where they voiced worries about the artist’s mental health. Victor suggested that Wizkid’s recent actions might be a coping mechanism to distract himself from the emotional pain he is facing especially following the loss of his mother, Morayo.
In the past months, Wizkid has faced the loss of his mother who he often referred to as the love of his life. Her funeral process was marked by some moments that raised eyebrows, prompting some netizens to question the depth of his grief, especially when glimpses of laughter were captured during the funeral ceremony held in Lagos.
