‘They took 650,000 from me’ – Clem Ohameze narrates near death experience with hoodlums

Nigerian actor, Clem Ohameze has narrated his near death experience with hoodlums over the weekend.

Kemi Filani recalls that the veteran actor of over two decades was attacked by armed hoodlums in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. A fan who identifies as KemKem took to the popular micro-blogging site, to reveal that Clem was attacked and badly injured. She, however, added that he’s safe and had received treatment.

According to the 55 year old in an interview he granted in his Igbo dialect, he was on his way to a movie location on Abak Road, on Thursday when he ran into hoodlums who collected #650,000 from him.

He said;

“It happened on Thursday in Uyo. The protesters, I ran into them. On recognizing me, they just didn’t want to bother. They took everything away from me.“They took N650,000 from me, all my phones. Destroyed my car, slashed my hand with a machete. I did a police report when this happened. I was on Abak Road in Uyo. I went to work on a movie set of my own.”

Clem however disclosed that his attackers have pleaded guilty and are presently awaiting trial.
