Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede, has shared her flight experience while travelling from Lagos – Abuja, early this morning, after filming late last night.
Sharing her experience the seasoned role interpreter, started by appreciating the pilot for getting them through the ‘mighty cloud’.
According to Jegede the plane kept dropping from the sky and this frightened people as they fervently prayed to God to save them. But the actress said rather than being scared she saw nothing but beauty in the sky, and when they finally landed a large number of people in the plane came to her to share their videos, making her a ‘turbulence celebrity’.
She wrote; “Finished filming late last night and had to catch the 6:30 am flight @flyairpeace Lagos – Abuja this morning. I really need a holiday. I want to say a job well done to the amazing pilot that got us through this mighty cloud. The plane kept dropping from the sky if you listen you will hear people praying, but God is mightier. I saw nothing but beauty in the sky I had to get this video as I was sitting by the window (with my phone on flight mode). I had never seen anything like this, it was so cool to have a large number of people in the plane coming to me to share the videos when we landed, I became a turbulence celebrity this morning 😂”
KemiFilani recalls that Yvonne Jegede took to social media to celebrate her father’s birthday on, 22nd April 2022.
Taking to her Instagram page, Yvonne Jegede shared a photo of herself and her father beaming with smiles.
Yvonne Jegede calls her father her twin brother, saying he’s amazing while expressing appreciation to God for his life.
The mother of one also urged her father to spend her money and stay blessed.
Happy birthday to my twin brother aka Yvonne’s Dad. Daddy you are amazing and I thank God for you everyday. @jegedeenaboakpe chop my money and stay blessed.
Kemi Filani News recalls that in a recent instagram live, Yvonne Jegede opened up on how a fan how a fan ‘blocked’ her on social media after she (Jegede) gave her some money.
“I don’t do giveaway online because I know how much I try to reach people physically. A woman once sent me a message that she needed to start egg business, and I sent some money. However, by the time I was sending her a message to let her know I had sent the money, she had blocked me. Apparently, she blocked me immediately she got the alert. It was mind-blowing. I was shocked and I felt swindled.”
Speaking further, she said that passion was not enough for one to have a successful career. Jegede said, “The question is, why do you want to act? That is the first question I ask. When I ask them, they tell me, ‘I love acting.’ You cannot come into acting just because you love it. Don’t come into acting as your last bus stop. There are other things you can do by the side.
Eighteen years ago, acting just for the passion would have helped. But now, there are so many brilliant people in the industry, who have even been to acting school. That means the competition is stiffer. You need to have substance. At times, some actors don’t get acting jobs for months. If you love acting, you should have something that you can fall back on.”
