Celebrities react to Super Eagles win against Cameroon

The Nigerian internet is going wild with joy following the victorious win of the Super Eagles against Cameroon at the ongoing AFCON.

As football fans and lovers of Super Eagles are rejoicing over their win, so also are some Nigerian celebrities. The likes of Kanayo Kanayo, Adeniyi Johnson, and Susan Peters have taken to their Instagram page to celebrate our victorious win.

Kemi Filani reported that the Super Eagles beat Cameroon to reach the quarterfinals with 2 – 0.

Taking to his Instagram page, Adeniyi Johnson stated that he doesn’t stand nonsense as he questioned how he can travel all the way to Cote d’Ivoire and still lose a match. He sarcastically added that if Nigerian had lost the match, he would have resigned as the Assistant Coach.

He predicted that the Super Eagles would defeat Anglo next by 3-0 and went on to mock Ghana.

“I don’t stand nonsense!! How can I travel all the way to Cote d’Ivoire and lose? If we had lost, I would have resigned as the Assistant Coach!! Some worry about Angola!! Na 3-0!! Let Ghana feel the heat both here and on Twitter. How far Charlie?

Who Dey breathe!! Who Dey check am??? Cameroon in the can ….. Angola is next … as an assistant coach I deliver or not?… thanks my boy @ng_supereagles … I love you guys”.

Susan Peters on her part, had made a mockery of Cameroonians, popularly known as Lion, questioning how they were faring.

Celebrating Super Eagles, she urged her Nigerians to flood her comment section with their identification details.

“Lion people how far? Someone call the doctor, let’s check on them.

Wetin be scores abeg UP EAGLES 🦅 @victorosimhen9 @molalookman @onyeka @olaaina and the entire team. I love you guys.
If you are a Nigerian comment ooo make we know ourselves”.

Yul Edochie admonished them not to gree for anyone as he congratulated and expressed pride in them.

“Super Eagles Kwechili.
No gree for anybody.
Congratulations @ng_supereagles
We are proud of you.
Bring home the trophy”.

Actress Adaora Ukoh noted how despite the odds, the Super Eagles gave it their best.

“Even with all the OODS. They gave it their all. Congratulations Nigeria.

Kunle Afod also admonished them not to gree for anyone. “No gree for anybody”

Meanwhile, gospel singer, Tim Godfrey had expressed heartbreak over the elimination of Ghana at the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The Black Stars threw away a two-goal lead against Mozambique in their last group-stage match and ended their campaign with only two points in group B.

Following their elimination, Tim Godfrey took to his Instagram page to express heartbreak as he queried citizens of the country.
