“It was the strangest gift I have gotten” Stan Nze and wife, Blessing Obasi open up on their pregnancy journey in emotional video
Nollywood actress, Blessing Obasi and her husband, Stan Nze have recounted the moment they found out about their new bundle of joy.
It is no longer news that the couple are expecting their first child. The parents-to-be gave their fans and followers a sneak peek into the couple’s pregnancy journey on their YouTube channel.
In the video, the couple recounted how they found out about the pregnancy individually. Blessing revealed that she found out she was two months pregnant days before her birthday, which was the 6th of May, 2023.
According to her, she had stood in for her husband at one of their friend’s showroom events, where she confided in her friend that she was having a headache and feeling pain. A friend had asked her to run a pregnancy test, which she declined because she didn’t want her hopes to be dashed.
She eventually succumbed to her demands and did a pregnancy test, which confirmed she was pregnant. The soon-to-be mum disclosed that she shed tears of joy for hours as she had already been praying for the fruit of the womb.
Her husband, who wasn’t in the country at that time, found out that his wife was pregnant on her birthday. He recounted how his wife and their close friends all surprised him with a box of baby gifts, which he considers the strangest gift ever.
A puzzled Stan, couldn’t fathom what was happening until Blessing made it known to him that she is pregnant.
Sharing in their happiness, Omoni Oboli, Destiny Etiko, Juliana Olayode, Juliet Ibrahim, and others sent love to the couple.
Hours ago, Stan Nze announced that he and his wife were expecting their first child.
The celebration marks a double blessing in their home as it is also their second wedding anniversary.
The post, which was accompanied by a heartfelt video, showed the actor’s wife touching her baby bump tenderly. They were also filmed wearing traditional attire during the video shoot.
In September last year, Blessing Nze and Stan Nze stirred controversy on their anniversary as many hinted that all wasn’t well with the couple.
Fans of the lovebirds had treated them to surprise anniversary gifts and in the video captured online, Stan Nze felt irritated and angry, which sparked concern among their fans.
Opening up on how their anniversary went, Stan admitted that it wasn’t a joyous one for them, revealing that he and his wife were in different moods as they had argued and none was ready to compromise.
