Sophia Momodu throws low-key birthday bash for Imade, days after ranting about financial abuse (Video)

Sophia Momodu, the first baby mama of singer, Davido threw a low-key birthday bash for her daughter, Imade Adeleke over the weekend.

Kemi Filani reported that the first child of the Afrobeat singer turned 8 yesterday and rather than her usual extravagant birthday party, her mother threw her a low-key bash.

According to reports, Sophia Momodu wanted to keep with the yearly routine of a lavish birthday party for her daughter, but Davido declined because of his son’s death months back, hence the reason for her rantings days back.

Sophia shared clips from the birthday bash on her Instagram story Wich was attended by her friends and her mother’s friends. Spotted at the bash was Jamil Balogun, the best friend of Jamil Balogun and the son of Tiwa Sav@ge.

In celebration of her birthday yesterday, Sophia Momodu shared several throwback photos of her daughter over the years.

The ever-dotting mother expressed how grateful she is to her creator who has been faithful to her.

She noted how her daughter’s birthday coincided with Mother’s Day.

Expressing joy at the double celebration, Sophia Momodu stated that she couldn’t be more thankful.

“It’s my daughter’s 8th time around the sun…. It’s also Mother’s Day today & I couldn’t be more thankful. God has been too faithful to fail. Happy Birthday Imade! I love you so much kiddo”.

Sophia Momodu speaks on the financial abuse of women

During the weekend, Sophia Momodu had gone on an extensive rant about the financial abuse of women.

The mother of one stated that financially bullying a woman into staying with you has got to be the most disgusting thing a man can do.

In a series of posts on her Twitter page, Sophia Momodu bemoaned the Nigerian system which she claimed doesn’t have laws that protect women and children.

She questioned why a man would make a woman take on his responsibilities because she chooses to move on and never look back.

However, Sophia in her lengthy write-up made no reference to anyone. But many assumed she was referring to Davido.

Reacting to it, Davido took to his Twitter page to share a screenshot of him doing his “unavailable” dance while adding that he’s got no time for “wahala”.

Hitting back at him on her Snapchat page, Sophia Momodu warned him not to dare her.

The mother of one vowed to spill the teas if he continues to provoke her.

Adding to it, Sophia Momodu shared clips of people speaking about Narcissists and Chronic gaslighters, thereby hitting at Davido being a narcissist and gaslighter.

In one of her posts, she stated that financial abuse is domestic abuse.
