Life coach, social commentator, and writer Solomon Buchi recently went on Twitter to share his view on marriage.
He countered Simi’s recent video about couples needing to live together before getting married as he expressed the reason why people should not waste time to get to know their partner.
He revealed that it’s impossible for a person to know their partner too well before marriage and that no matter how long couples date, the reality of marriage tends to shock a lot of them.
He also disclosed that getting married has to involve a certain level of fear and uncertainty because life is very uncertain. He also stated that even in marriage, the person that you once knew can evolve and then you have to learn to experience them as new and different people all over again.
He ended his statement by advising and intending married couples to stop dating for too long because they want to get to know each other well because marriage would teach them things that they would still not be able to know even while dating.
Recall that just a few days ago, Simi in a recent podcast with Tea by Tay had revealed the importance of couples living together. She expressed that it’s important to live together with your partner for a while so that you can learn some of their behaviours and characteristics before marriage.
Also recall that last week, Solomon Buchi had shared his personal experience before getting married to his wife. He revealed that he had met his wife and a week later, he had told his wife that he was dating her to get married to her. One year later, he engaged her and barely six months after their engagement, they tied the knot. He stated that when you know that you want to get married to somebody, there is no need to waste time or date them for too long.
