Singer Simi narrates ordeal at Lagos Passport office over indecent dressing (Video)
Award-winning Nigerian singer, Simi Kosoko has narrated her recent encounter at one of the passport offices in Lagos.
The wife of Adekunle Gold, via a video on her Instagram page, narrated how she was almost denied entry into a passport office because of how she dressed.
Simi revealed that she was told to return home and change her outfit before being permitted inside. Even her celebrity status, couldn’t help her as the officials remain adamant about her outfit.
Simi added that she also had to take off her nosering and earring.
She said, “I went to the passport office to get my passport done and when I reached the gate, they said I should go back because I am indecently dressed.“
I look myself up to down, and asked, can you see anything in my body that is indecent? He said he cannot see, but I should go back and wear something more ‘down’.” she wrote.

Recall that fast-rising singer, Ayra Starr had a similar experience earlier this year.
The Mavins singer, in a video that went viral, shared her embarrassing experience at Nigerian passport office.
The ‘Rush’ singer lamented over how she was told to remove her lashes. According to the star, the officials asked her to remove her eyelashes before attending to her.
Following the incident, Ayra Starr vowed never to forgive the officers.
“This passport office people really made me just remove my lashes. I’ll never forgive y’all”.

Meanwhile, actor, Bolanle Ninalowo had a better experience while visiting the Immigration office in Lagos.
The screen god had gushed over the warm welcome he received at the office while collecting his passport.
The immigration officers excitedly welcomed Bolanle into their midst. They took him around the major offices, recorded pictures, and videos with him, and made him feel very relaxed.
