Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has come under heavy criticism on social media over what he publicly said about his mother.
In an interview with Nicole Abebe and Moet Abebe, the son of the Afrobeat legend said her mother always hide in his room to smoke weed with him whenever her own mother comes around.
Seun Kuti said his mother did this because his grandmother didn’t know she smokes, but this statement did not go well with many Nigerian.
Reacting to the video, many Nigerians opined that some things are better left unsaid, and the mother’s habit is nothing to be proud of.
