Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has finally reacted to the invite for a peace walk from Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Sanwo-Olu had on Tuesday said he would lead the peace walk in the state in December “to herald the healing of the land.”

He also invited Dele Farotimi, Temitope Majekodunmi, Segun Awosanya (Segalink), Adedotun (Just Detoun), singer Seun Kuti, Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu and Commander of Rapid Response Squad, CSP Yinka Egbeyemi, amongst others.

In a post shared on his Instagram story, Seun Kuti rejected and rubbished the peace walk saying that he is working for justice.

He wrote: ‘Walk for peace’ I am working for justice. birds-eye view. Tonight. Seun Kuti is listening to walking away by Craig David.

Seun Kuti’s reaction is coming a few hours after Falz in a post shared on the microblogging platform Twitter, opined that the suggestion of a walk for peace sounds like a joke and very disrespectful.

Falz recalled how people were murdered in cold blood, and no iota of justice has been served for more than a year after the incident.

The rapper questioned Sanwo-Olu on how there be peace when justice has not been served on behalf of Nigerians who had their lives snatched away by the armed forces.

Falz also questioned Sanwo-Olu if he wants to sweep the issue of murdered citizens under the carpet, adding that young Nigerians are still constantly being harassed and extorted by Police officers.
