Nigerian filmmaker, Samuel Olatunji otherwise known as Sam Olatunji has slammed singer, Ayra Starr over her apology to the legendary singer, King Sunny Ade.
Kemi Filani reported hours ago that Ayra Starr was dragged online over her disrespect to King Sunny Ade at the Heineken Afrozons Pre-Grammy Party on Friday night.
In the viral video, Ayra Starr who was in her unusual skimpy outfit, snubbed Burna Boy’s mother as she embraced a woman sitting beside her. Ayra went on to greet KSA while standing and shook hands with him.
Her disrespectful behavior led to backlash and Ayra Starr took to her Twitter page to tender a deep apology, referring to him as her uncle and explaining herself.
Ayra noted how she can’t be disrespectful to her elders as she is a proper Yoruba girl.
Reacting to it, Sam Olatunji slammed her for referring to him as her uncle.
“Why would Ayra Starr refer to King Sunny Ade as ‘Uncle’ nau?”.
Actress Yvonne Jegede, defending states that probably she didn’t know who he was. She wrote, “No way. She definitely didn’t know who he is”.
Sam Olatunji replied, “Believe me that’s my conclusion too”.
In other news, Samuel Olatunji had called out media personality, Nedu over his statement degrading female celebrities in the industry.
Nedu had recounted how he met two influencers/ celebrities (whom many assumed to be BBNaija’s stars) having a threesome with his rich friend.
In a lengthy post on his Instagram page, Big Sam, as he is fondly called, slammed Nedu for his statement, opining that Nedu was trying to tear the credibility of the industry to shred and to project female celebrities as ‘whores.
Big Sam, pointed out how female celebrities like Toyin Abraham, Funke Akindele, Yvonne Jegede and more were making it in the industry without sex for money.
