Nigerians have blasted Singer Seun Kuti, son of the legendary pioneer of Afro-beats, Fela Kuti, regarding his claims that new generation artists can never be greater than his father.
According to the singer, his father has laid a legacy for all other Nigerian artists, which they had replicated but vowed that no one could take over the impacts of his music in entertainment at large.
Taking to his Insta story, he said comparing Fela with other recent bigshots in the entertainment industry is useless until Fela comes back to life to use their lyrics the way they have succeeded in using his lyrics and music for their gains.
He wrote:
You can’t be greater than that which u take from or steal from! Until Fela comes back from the dead and steals some of ur faves music or uses their lyrics the ways they steal his lyrics and music, your comparison is null and void. Baba ni dads nje!
Nigerians have aggressively replied to his sensitive comments regarding their favourites.
