Recall that in 2021, Chiwetalu Agu was arrested by Nigerian soldiers for wearing a Biafran flag outfit at Upper Iweka in Onitsha, Anambra state.
The brutal treatment melted on him was widely condemned by many Nigerians, considering his age and status in society.
Speaking out, Chiwetalu Agu said he was wearing a civil dress and not Biafran regalia or linked to Eastern Security Network. He refuted the claims that he was soliciting people to join Biafra but was sharing bread at Upper Iweka when he was arrested.
He was later released on October 8th, to the joy of many and he had appreciated the President of the Nigerian Guild of Actors and everyone who had called for his release while advising his fans and supporters not to give up on supporting Biafra.
He was later re-arrested by the DSS but was later released after the Actors Guild of Nigeria intervened and secured his release.
