Big Brother Naija ‘Shine Ya Eyes’ former housemate, Queen Mercy Atang, and her fiance, David Oyekanmi have released their pre-wedding photos.
Kemi Filani reported two weeks back that the reality star had announced her engagement. The reality star shared a photo of her flaunting her engagement ring while holding the hands of her fiance.
In a later post on her Instagram page, the reality star revealed that her man proposed to her with a diamond ring because she meant the world to him.
The couple is set to tie the knot traditionally today and ahead of their wedding, they have released their pre-wedding photos.
Her fiance, David Oyekanmi shared the photos on his Instagram page as the lovebirds were seen donning different traditional outfits. While Queen wore the Akwa-Ibom traditional attire, David was dressed as a typical Yoruba boy.
In his caption, he stated that it was time as he quoted the scriptures.
“It’s about Time!!!
And King David said “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.
Genesis 2:23 NKJV”.
Also taking to her Instagram page, Queen stated that the journey to forever with her boo begins today.
“The journey to becoming Iyawo Deji begins today”.
Before their wedding, Queen had met with her mother-in-law. Her fiance, David Oyekanmi, had shared the heart-melting clip on his Instagram story, where Queen was seen smiling as she met her soon-to-be mother-in-law who hugged her tightly. The two later exchanged kisses to the surprise of many.
Days later, Queen met her father-in-law, as she was captured in a video posted by a close friend of the couple, exchanging pleasantries with her father-in-law, who was excited to meet with her. In the clip, Queen was seen coming down from a vehicle as her father-in-law greeted her with a warm embrace. The two were later spotted holding hands as they made their way into a building.
Recall that her baby daddy, Lord Lamba, was dragged for trying to sabotage her big moment as he publicly acknowledged his daughter on the day Queen announced her engagement to her lover.
Speaking out, Lord Lamba denied the accusations and cleared the air about trying to stop Queen from finding her happiness. He claimed he posted about his daughter to clarify the paternity of his daughter and hence, he captioned the post with her full name. He noted that the choice of living a private life does not affect the relationship he shared with his daughter and he’s been a father figure to his girl.
He also spoke about things not working out between them and how they are trying to give their daughter the best despite not being together.
