Big Brother Naija ‘Lockdown’ housemate, Prince Nelson Enwerem has recounted his experience with thugs at his polling unit.
The reality star narrated how thugs disrupted his polling unit and scattered the ballot boxes.
According to him, INEC officials had earlier told the voters that they couldn’t vote anymore because the server is down before the ugly incident occured.
He stated that the police on ground, couldn’t do anything to prevent the thugs and only watched in silence.
Prince added that in a surprising twist, the polling officers had changed outfits and we’re trying to sneak out when the voters demanded they resumed voting process.
He added that they were caught off guard when thugs arrived again in 3 buses with police escorts around them and shot into the air.
Prince revealed he was almost hit with a plank, luckily for him, he had a cap on his head.
“We were voting peacefully until INEC polling officers suddenly told us that we can’t vote anymore that the server is down, we should give them sometime, few mins later these guys showed up and scattered while the police officers watched.
We picked them up again and tried to continue but the polling officers had changed outfits and was trying to sneak out, we said not they should continue and they refused. Before we knew it the boys returned in 3 buses this time with police escorts who shot into the air, the thugs proceeded to chase everyone away and while screaming “Omo Igbo wants to take over Lagos”.
This is the structure of thuggery they are talking about!!!!”.
He added, “I’m finally home…they attacked me and trued to hit me with a plant but missed and hit off my cap”.
Political thugs attack Chioma Akpotha at polling unit with knives and bottles
Similarly, actress Chioma Akpotha was attacked by thugs at her polling unit.
She revealed that she was attacked at her polling unit when she took out her phone to record activities at the unit.
According to her, the thugs came to her with knives and bottles and she fled the scene, leaving her car, which has been left damaged.
