Following the death of wife, Nomthi Odukoya on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya of the Fountain of Life Church, wowed many of his members today with the strength he displayed during his worship session and sermon.
During the week, many had expressed fears and called out for prayers of strength for the Man of God on social media but during the service today, November 14, 2021, Pastor Odukoya displayed strength while he reverenced God.
Sharing a clip from the worship session on his Instagram page moments ago, his first son, Jimmy wrote “I sit here and marvel at the man my father Pastor Taiwo, He lost his wife Pastor Nomthi on Tuesday ; (2nd wife he would loose to death ) and here He is worshipping on stage in church on Sunday leading the church to worship; What manner of man is this ? His Strength in the midst of pain; His Courage in the face of fear; His Faith in a sea of doubt; His Perseverance through disappointment; His Wisdom amidst chaos; His Dedication beyond personal loss; His Unwavering Love for God bypassing his present reality are what legends are made of !!
The battles He has fought would break a lesser man; I am FULLY PERSUADED that the very breath of God flows through him and that is what continues to strengthen him. Ah Pastor Taiwo Odukoya!! NA MAN YOU BE !!! What an honour to come from your loins and carry your last name! What a privilege to be your son! What an advantage to have your DNA !! To a General in God’s Army; Your battle scars sing of your victories ! I salute you Sir! No son could have a better Father “
Kemi Filani recalls that while mourning his late wife earlier, Pastor Odukoya wrote “With deep regret and gratitude to God, I have to announce the passing of my wife, Pastor Nomthi Odukoya.
“She stood on the Word of God, and she fought. She gave me 11 beautiful years of marriage and two wonderful boys, who I know will be very significant in life.

“I loved her with all my heart, but who am I to fight with the will of God. “The truth is, at one point in our lives, we all will have to say goodbye. So for now, till we meet again in glory, Goodbye Nomthi,” he wrote.
Pastor Taiwo lost his first wife, Pastor Bimbo Odukoya, on December 10, 2005, in a Sosoliso plane crash.
In 2010, he married Nomthi, who is a South African.
