When I see the hundreds, thousands of youths, you have to be jobless to attend this rallies. What’s going to happen when the campaigns are over and there is nobody to rent anymore”.
If you don’t go out to vote, don’t complain when a wrong goverment wins – Pastor Adeboye declares
Kemi Filani recalls that Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) had avowed that he will never be a politician or join politics.
Speaking during the church’s thanksgiving service which held on, April 3rd, 2022, the Man of God told his congregation that he has never being involved in politics and will never be because his calling is to be a Pastor not a politician.
“I have never and I will not and I will never join politics. God called me to be a Pastor to shaped his people and not join politics.
I am just a general Overseer and a Pastor called by God. Am not even a prophet just a pastor. I need to get this clear, my assignment is to pray for you, for nations including Nigerian.
Adeboye reveals why he has never voted
My assignment has nothing to do with partisan politics, do not distract me…I have never told you my redeem members, that this is the party you should belong to or who you should vote for. I have never and will never because here in RCCG, all the parties are well represented be it APC, PDP, APG and Co.
The reason i have never voted is because if I vote for one I will be unjust to the other and I am father of all.”
He however chided his congregation to go out to vote in the upcoming General elections and not just sit home and let a wrong government get in power.
“As a Nigerian, you owe yourself to get involved and vote instead of just sitting down and then you come and start complaining when a wrong government is selected.
Make sure you register, go out to vote and ensure you that your vote is counted” the Man of God instructed his members.
