“Overtaking is not a crime” 2Face Idibia urges ‘spoilt and entitled’ artists to give Burnaboy his flowers instead of envying him

Burnaboy just earned himself a number one fan because music legend 2Face Idibia has been on a row for a hot minute, praising Burnaboy.

In a recent post that 2Face Idibia made, he spoke about Burnaboy, stating that he didn’t need anyone to validate him. He also sent a message to all the ‘spoilt and entitled’ African artists that overtaking is not a crime, and that they should give Burnaboy his flowers, instead of beefing him. Now who do you think 2Face Idibia was referring to as spoilt and entitled?

2Face Idibia talks about Burnaboy’s success, encourages other artists to learn from him instead of envying him.

Recall that singer Terry G made a statement that Burnaboy was bigger than Wizkid and Davido. 2Face Idibia’s statement also resonates with his, but it brings to mind the question as to whether the rich and spoilt artist 2Face was referring to is Wizkid and Davido.

Getting a stamp of approval from a legend like 2Face Idibia is something to be celebrated because this is someone who has been in the music industry for about thirty years, and has had quite a successful run in the industry.

From the days of ‘Plantashun Boys’ to being an independent artist, 2Face Idibia has provided Nigerians with evergreen hit songs like ‘African Queen’, ‘Olé’, ‘Originality’, and a host of other songs.

Although he is still active in the music industry, 2Face Idibia has taken a few seats back from actively working, and only pops out once in a while to record songs.

As he slowly enters into his retirement phase, 2Face Idibia has delved into his other passions, and one of the most recent is engaging in causes that protect wildlife. He also features alongside his wife in the hit reality series, ‘Young, Rich, and African’.
