Nollywood actress and media personality Osas Ighodaro is celebrating ten years in the entertainment industry.
The single mother of one recounted her journey to Nigeria and how it changed her life.
Osas revealed that she was meant to spend just six months in Nigeria but ended up spending ten years.
She is forever grateful for her journey thus far and looks forward to what’s to come.
In celebration of her 10 years, Osas Ighodaro released a music video of her dancing to Fela Kuti’s song, Water, Wata’.
Osas stated that the song encapsulates a beautiful representation of her time in Naija, her flow, fight and freedom.
“10 years ago, this day, I embarked on a journey to Nigeria – not my first trip to Naija – but certainly a trip that changed my life.. forever. In celebration of my 10years in the Nigerian Entertainment Industry; please enjoy. ‘Water, Wata’ – Osas celebrating 10years!! For me, the element of water incapsulates a beautiful representation of my time in Naija thus far; my Flow, my Fight, my Freedom!!!! I was meant to stay in Naija for just 6 months…and here I am 10 years later. Kemi Filani news recalls Osas Ighodaro couldn’t hold her tears as she bagged two awards at AMVCA 2022.
Osas Ighodaro grabbed the best-dressed award and the Best Actress in Drama movie at the African Magic Viewers Choice Award 2022.
The AMVCA event had celebrities dazzling on the red carpet in their attires.
Known as one of the most notable awards in Africa’s entertainment industry, celebrities annually showcase their fashion style as fans get to vote for their favourites to clinch the most anticipated ‘Best Dressed’ award.
Osas was announced the winner, as she dazzled in a flowing see-through gown. Her ponytail hair and drop earrings accentuated her overall looks.
The actress also won the Best Actress in a drama, making it her first AMVCA award.
To appreciate the organisers and everyone who made it possible for her to win the award, Osas Ighodaro shared a video that captured when she ran to the stage to grab her award and profoundly thanked God for the award as she described her winning as a dream come true that she still can’t believe.
She also dedicated the plague to her late mother and her daughter. And then specially appreciated AMVCA organisers, the cast and crew of RattleSnake and all her well-wishers.

The veteran recounted how beautiful, bright, warn and engaging Osas was when she first made her acting debut in Tinsel.
Though just returning from America, Osas was willing to put in the world and do more of what was required.
Ireti Doyle praised her for how she takes her scalps elegantly, graciously and without an iota of bile.
