The wives of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi have put aside their drama to welcome their husband’s new wife into the palace.
Kemi Filani reported that Ooni had picked a sixth wife, Elizabeth Akinmuda, who had her traditional entry into the palace yesternight.
In videos captured online, the first wife of the Ooni, Olori Mariam and Olori Ronke, who had shunned each other at an event days back, could be seen sitting together with the newest couple.
Unlike their previous demeanor, they wore a happy countenance as they chatted and supported the lovebirds.
In another video, Olori Ronke could be seen dancing with the new bride.
Ooni’s wives snub each other at a popular event
Kemi Filani reported a few days ago, Ooni’s wives caused a stir online when they were captured snubbing each other at an event.
The wives of the monarch had attended the unveiling of a Coffee Book titled “Ile-Ife, The Cradle of the World” in Lagos.
In a video posted online by City People TV, Ooni’s fourth and fifth wives, Olori Ashley, and Olori Ronke, were seen sitting together when his first wife, Olori Mariam, walked up to them.
Olori Mariam exchanged pleasantries with Olori Ashely, while Olori Ronke snubbed her. Her demeanor which didn’t go unnoticed has got much talking.

The new wife began her traditional entry into the palace on Friday night.
In videos posted online by City People TV, the new Queen could be seen being ushered into the palace by women of the palace.
The ceremony was held on Friday night, May 19th at Ile Odua Palace, Ile-Ife.
In another video, the Ooni of Ife and his other queens could be seen welcoming the new Queen into the palace.
Ooni of Ife takes a new wife
This is coming after news broke out that the Ooni had taken a new wife.
News that made rounds online had it that the Ife monarch had taken a sixth wife, identified as Queen Opeoluwa Elizabeth Akinmuda.
City People reported that an invitation was issued to family and friends of the Ooni royals for the Thanksgiving service scheduled to hold on Saturday, 20th of May, 2023.
The event will be preceded by the traditional entry of the Queen into the ancient Ife Oodua Palace of Ile-Ife this Thursday.
