Ooni’s new wife, Mariam Ogunwusi, declares love for him as she makes her first official post

Queen Mariam Ogunwusi, the new wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has declared love for her husband as she makes her first official post.

Kemi Filani recalls that Ooni welcomed Mariam Anako into the palace as his official new queen on Tuesday night.

The new Ife queen was ushered into the palace after brief rites at the entrance of the premises before she was led into the inner court of the palace to meet her husband and other guests waiting to receive her.

Queen Mariam Ogunwusi made her first official post on Instagram a few hours ago by sharing photos from her wedding, where she finally met her husband.

The new queen accompanied her wedding photos with a love emoji, a declaration of her love for her husband.

The Ife Queen’s new page boasts a thousand followers a few hours after her declaration.

Kemi Filani recalls that Ooni’s director of media and public affairs, Otunba Olafare, welcomed the new queen with an official statement from the palace.

“THE NEW OONI’s QUEEN IS OLORI MARIAM AJIBOLA OGUNWUSI

On Tuesday night, the Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, formally received his new queen; Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi.

The new queen Ajibola was ushered into the Ile Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife at about 8 pm last night by her mother and other members of her family from Kogi and Kwara states was first received by members of the Ife Traditional Council led by the Obalufe of Ife, Oba Idowu Adediwura and Lowa Adimula of Ife, High-Chief Adekola Adeyeye who after necessary traditional and spiritual rites performed by the Isoros(Chief priests)

presented to the Ogunwusi family and the husband.

Olori Mariam Ajibola Ogunwusi is of mixed blood as her late father hailed from the Ebira ethnic part of Kogi state. In contrast, her mother hails from Erin-Ile, an ancient Yoruba town in Kwara state.”
