“God has been so faithful and kind to me. Today I celebrate life, I celebrate good health, and God’s continuous grace. With all the bad things that are in the world right now. I think we need a message of togetherness and true unity. I believe it starts with personal reflection and then we can find kindness towards each other. Your soul needs time for solitude and self-reflection. In order to love, lead, heal, and create, you just nourish yourself first. To my loving husband, my beautiful and supportive daughter, my amazing families, and my friends here. I say thank you for your love. The more I feel grateful in my life, the not enjoyment and fulfillment wrestle within me. Cheers to many note years in wealth, good health, and abundance of happiness”.
Ooni finally weds Princess Ashley
Recall that the Ooni of Ife finally married his fourth wife, Princess Ashley in October 2023.
This was a dream come true for Ashley, who had been a long-time concubine of the monarch.
From the day of her wedding, Ashley ceased to be a princess, as she took up the title of a Queen.
The royal wedding was held in Ile Ife, with many dignitaries in attendance.
The king’s family members moved to the late Prince Adeniyi Adegoke’s family house situated on Olubose Street, along Ede Road, the ancient city of Ile Ife. The kingdom was agog with fanfare.
Just like the wedding of Queen Tobi Phillips, the Ooni was nowhere in sight at the wedding ceremony. His chiefs, the royal guards, and the royal staff were there to represent him.
