Nigerians drag Bisi Alimi in the mud over plans to open a gay club in Mushin

Famous Nigerian gay activist Bisi Alimi has been dragged in the mud by Nigerians for allegedly planning to open a gay club in Nigeria.

Kemi Filani recalled that a popular crossdresser Nonny Phillips was beaten to a pulp by angry Nigerians over his effeminacy.

Bisi Alimi, who is in Copenhagen, shared a picture of a gay club signboard on his Instagram story with a caption that has got many talking on social media.

He wrote: “One day soon, there will be a club named ‘GAY Lagos’ and I will own it and it will be in Mushin. One day soon.”

Reactions that followed this post are not lovely as many dared Bisi Alimi to go ahead with his plans and face the consequences with the Mushin boys while others threatened to beat him.

Bisi Alimi is a Nigerian gay rights activist, public speaker, blog writer and HIV/LGBT advocate who gained international attention when he became the first Nigerian to come out on television.
