Ibrahim Suleiman has reacted to the new rise in the rate at which fans cancel celebrates due to the past actions.
Recently Kevin Hart lost the chance to host the 2019 Oscars because of his past opinion about homosexuals. According to many, someone who holds such view shouldn’t host the Oscars, even though Kevin Hart said he’s changed from such a person.
More recently is Liam Neeson who said held grudges against Blacks and wanted to kill a random black person when a female friend of his was raped by a black man. This has led to calls from fans for him to be cancelled.
Reacting to the new trend, Ibrahim Suleiman tweeted:
“I have a question. So everybody knows I’m not a fan of draw soups. Say in 2029, I go somewhere and eat one absolutely bomb draw soup, and decide that draw soup is THE best thing in the world, y’all gonn dig up my tweets from a decade before, and call me a hypocrite?
He added:
“Because the way you people are moving mad with this “cancelling culture”, I am wondering where room is for people to evolve and change over time. Before you declare someone “Cancelled”, ask yourself, “am I the exact same person I was yesterday?” Short answer: No. Fix up.
