Nicki Minaj has announced that she will no longer be performing at a BET concert slated for June 2019, following a controversial tweet in which the cable network seemed to shade her over Cardi B’s Grammy win.
The tweet which was shared during the awards which took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday February 10, 2019, noted that Cardi B is the first woman to win the “Best Solo Rap Album” award, while reportedly adding, “Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront.”
Sharing a screenshot of thje since deleted tweet, Nicki tweeted that she would no longer be attending the event that is being sposored by the cable network, adding that none of the acts from the Young Money label would be partricipating either.
According to reports, Nicki and founder of Young Money, Lil Wayne were scheduled as the headlining acts for the event which is set to last a couple of days.

In another tweet, she wrote,

However, as of Monday night, Nicki’s name still appeared on the list of performers for the event on BET Experience’s official website, alongside Cardi B.
