Wizkid and his son at mother's funeral

Award-winning Afrobeat singer, Ayodeji Balogun better known by his stage name, Wizkid has caused a stir online with his awkward interaction with his first son, Boluwatife.

The father of four had run into his first son, who he shares with his ex-partner, Sola Ogudugu at his mother’s funeral and the two had an awkward exchange.

In a video that is fast making rounds, Bolu was seen standing a mile apart from his father, who was surrounded by security. The young teen looked scared of approaching him until Wizkid called for his attention. The two had a brief exchange as Wizkid hugged him before they parted ways.

The video has since left many talking with many dragging the singer for being a deadbeat father.

One Get Rich Or Die Trying wrote, “The pikin no even care”.

This isn’t the first time the Grammy singer has been dragged online for neglecting his other kids since welcoming a child with his manager, Jada Pollock.

On several occasions, netizens have called his attention to his poor parental style and have compared him with his rival, Davido.

A video of the singer on vacation with Zion had left many questioning his love for his other kids, as Nigerians queried where his other sons were.

Last year, Wizkid was mercilessly dragged for not publicly acknowledging his first son, Boluwatife Balogun’s birthday.

The singer didn’t put up a birthday message for him but only shared a photo of him from his Smile music video.

Irritated by this, many took to social media to call him out, noting how the singer always showers love on his third son, Zion Balogun.

To add to it, the singer was noticeably absent at Boluwatife’s graduation this year.

The superstar who rarely resides in Nigeria couldn’t make it for his son’s big day, however, that didn’t sadden Boluwatife, as he had his mother by his side.

The singer has four sons; his eldest Boluwatife with Sola Ogudugu, Ayo jnr Balogun with Binta Diamond and Zion Balogun, and AJ with his international manager.

His second son with US baby mama, Binta has been thrown into oblivion as there are no pictures and talks about him.
