In a recent development, a Twitter DJ who made some hurtful comments about Nathaniel Bassey, Mercy Chinwo, and her husband, Blessed, has come out once again on social media to apologize for his behavior.
He expressed that he has been unable to sleep since he realized his mistake and he has been weighed down with tears.
Now recall that about a few weeks ago, Kemi Filani had reported that a group of people had come on social media to make some remarks about Nathanael Bassey and Mercy Chinwo.
Following a photoshoot picture that was shared on Instagram by Mercy Chinwo and her husband of their baby, some netizens took it upon themselves to reveal that her baby shared some resemblance with gospel singer Nathanael Bassey.
However, some particular netizens took it upon themselves to write long detailed notes on it, blatantly stating that not only does the baby resemble Nathanael Bassey, but that the baby was actually for Nathaniel Bassey.
A few days later, Nathaniel reacting to this, filed a defamatory lawsuit against all the citizens involved in defaming his character. This DJ, who happens to be among one of the people who defamed his character, has continued to offer his apology.
In this recent apology, he expressed how shocked he was to realize that he had mistakenly included a heading in his tweets, which unknowingly offended the individuals whose music he enjoys playing every single day.
He further expressed that truly he has been weighed down with tears and sleepless nights since realizing this mistake. He also revealed that he was appealing to the both of them to find it in their hearts to forgive him as he promises to be more careful about what he shares on social media.
“I sincerely apologize to each of you for the distress my actions have caused. Since realizing my error and understanding its impact, I have been apologizing.
I have even sent apology messages to the email I found on the official website belonging to Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and have continued to lookout for other means I can get across to you and today I believe this email [email protected] I got today will be able to let my apology message reach you both.
I have since then deleted the tweet and issued apologies twice on the platform. Truly I have been weighed down with te irs, with sl epless nights since realizing this mistake.”
