'My tribe felt super loved from this dude' Cubana Chief Priest shows support for Governor Sanwo-Olu for re-election

Nigerian celebrity barman, Pascal Chibuike better known as Cubana Chief Priest has revealed he is supporting Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for re-election in the state.

Taking to his Instagram page, Cubana Chief Priest shared a picture of Governor Sanwo-Olu and listed out his reasons for supporting him.

According to the socialite, Governor Sanwo-Olu deserves another term because his good deeds. while noting that nobody is perfect, he recalled how the governor acted like the president of the nation to ensure everyone is safe during the Coronavirus outbreak that struck the nation in 2020.

The father two urged Lagosians to vote for the governor so as to complete the projects he has been working on across the state. He further noted that his tribe (Igbo) felt safe under the leadership of Sanwo-Olu.

Cubana Chief Priest‘s support for Sanwo-Olu’s second term is coming amidst the series of backlash the Governor has been receiving on social media. Youths in the state. Many have vowed not to vote him in for a second term as they continue to dig out a series of lapses in his administration.

According to the youths, they will not vote Sanwo-Olu until he reveals who gave the order on the night of 20th October 2020, around 6:50 p.m when men of the Nigerian armed unleashed havoc on peaceful End SARS protesters at the Lekki Toll-Gate killing many while others sustained various degrees of injuries.

During a press release, Sanwo-Olu denied that there was no casualty in the shooting that was streamed life by Obianuju Catherine Udeh better known as DJ Switch and several others. Later during an interview with  CNN’s Becky Anderson, the governor admitted to the death of protesters. The youths have continued to ask him “Who gave the orders” as they threaten to vote for Labour Party’s governorship candidate, Gbadebo Chinedu Rhodes-Vivour, also known as GRV come March 11.

Governor Sanwo-Olu storms RCCG Holy Ghost Fire night ahead of election

Kemi Filani reported that Governor Sanwo-Olu visited the Redemption camp on Friday night, 3rs March 2023, to partake in the blessings of Pastor E.Adeboye’s birthday special holy ghost service.

This, however, did not go down well with Netizens as the governor’s action sparked mixed reactions on social media.

Many condemned and mocked him for carrying out the act in a bid to solicit votes ahead of the upcoming state elections.

One Sanya wrote: “See how these politicians keep using the church to deceive us because the election is coming, he went to camp, chai”

Alero wrote: “Somebody is trembling, he remembers the church,wetin these politicians dey take us for self….”

Olabisi wrote: “the presser is really getting wesser… You can’t fake these things.”
