Popular Nigerian socialite Obi Cubana has urged the public to beware of those attempting to use his name to carry out fraudulent acts on social media.
The Influential entrepreneur spoke in a Facebook live session on Friday shortly after he got verified.
Obi Cubana, born Obinna Iyiegbu, said that a lot of people have been using his name to do bad things in recent times.
Cubana noted that he decided to speak up on the issue because “it is
really getting at me”.
Speaking further, he added that his name is not associated with “anything bad or evil.”
“This is my only verified Facebook page. A lot of guys are using my name, Obi Cubana, Obi Iyiegbu to do a lot of bad things on Facebook. The name Obi Cubana is not associated with anything bad or evil. Please disregard, block, report,” he said.
“For me to come up to do this, you guys should know that it is really getting at me. Thank God that Facebook has verified me right now so we can interact more here.”
The entrepreneur also added that nobody can destroy the name he has struggled to build over the years.
“You can’t destroy what we’ve worked so hard to build over the years,” he added.
Kemi Filani News recalls that Obi Cubana made headlines recently after he was invited by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over alleged drug links.
