The light-skinned actress took to her Instagram page to share the good news with her millions of fans.
In recognition of her impact to her culture, Monalisa was conferred with the prestigious title.
The actress no doubt deserve it as she has been a staunch promoter of her culture and tradition.
The chieftaincy title was conferred on the actress on the occasion of New Yam Festival.
In attendance at the festival were, Tricia Eseigbe Kerry, Francis Duru, Andy Chukwu and others.
“About last weekend. Celebrating our culture and traditions the Nollywood way. One if the most colorful events I have ever attended. Well done”.
Whitemoney bags Chieftaincy title
For promoting the Igbo Culture, Reality TV star, Hazel Onou, aka Whitemoney had bagged a chieftaincy title as the “Ùgwù ńdi Igbo,” meaning “The Pride of Igbos”.
The Big Brother Naija Season 6 winner said he intended to use his new chieftaincy title to positively inspire youths in his community in Lagos State.
The reality star, who was elated by the title conferred on him, made the revelation in an Instagram post on Monday.
The post read, “First of all, our people say when a child washes his hands well, he may sit with elders. Another title added: UGWU NDIGBO’ i.e ‘THE PRIDE OF IGBOS’.
“It was another humbling moment for me last Saturday as I was conferred as ‘UGWU NDIGBO’ by the Igbo speaking community, Lagos State.”
Jim Iyke bags Chieftaincy title
Seasoned Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke had been conferred with a chieftaincy title in Ghana.
The movie star was conferred with the title “OHADIKE 1 OF NDIGBO” by HRH Dr AMB. Chuwudi J Ihenetu, Ezi Ndibgo Ghana.
The chieftaincy title was conferred on the actor on the occasion of the 10th Yam Festival.
According to HRH Dr AMB. Chuwudi J Ihenetu, the actor was recognised for his tremendous achievements and contributions to the African entertainment industry and Igbo people.
With this, Jim Iyke joins the list of Nigerian celebrities who have been conferred with chieftaincy titles.
He was conferred with the honour under Felix I. Njoku, the Ogaraku II of Logara.
Fans and colleagues of the star actor have taken to social media to congratulate him on the latest achievement.
