TV host and documentary filmmaker Bolanle Olukanni has given a deep insight into having deep thoughts before marriage.
Bolanle Olukanni on Instagram urged both ladies and men to ponder on the marriage decision to avoid great disappointment sincerely.
Bolanle also advised ladies who want to get married, thinking they can get secure through marriage, against going into shock when their expectations are not realised.
She admonished the lady and the man to have an honest conversation without coding and pretence to understand each other’s expectations.
She wrote: Have you asked sincerely asked yourself why you want to get married ? We all have many reasons though, but I believe that everyone should have an honest conversation with their future partner so you know how to understand each other’s expectations. Be honest – tell it as it is , because in marriage the coding and forming will stop and you are left with the cards in your hand. Failed expectations cause great disappointment- which can be worked on and healed with time . But the worse part is when those expectations weren’t discussed beforehand it’s cause chaos and confusion.
Reacting to the post many attest to Bolanle Olukanni’s advice as they share experiences and the importance of thinking before marriage.
Kemi Filani recalls that Bolanle Olukanni was over the moon when she acquired her first house.
Bolanle noted how surreal it is for her, knowing she just bought her first house. She also revealed that she shared the news to encourage and motivate others to not give up on pursuing their dreams.
She wrote, “Praise be to the Most High! I bought my first home. Still so wild – to believe that I am a Landlady. God really outdid himself with this one and I want go share with you the process of becoming a Homeowner. Thank you @crostonhomes for helping me find my first home!! The meeting was God-ordained. Realtor of life. This was a process and deep down I just know and truly believe that everyone who has and wants to achieve this dream can achieve it. I decided to share the full account of my journey, hoping it will inspire, teach and give you faith to believe this can be your testimony”.
