Nollywood actress Lydia Lawrence-Nze has reacted to reports about Pere’s failed marriage and alleged domestic violence on his ex-wife.
A Twitter user had called out Pere, alleging he was married to one Pamela Heoma. She got pregnant a few months later but suffered domestic violence from Pere, which resulted in miscarriage.
According to the Twitter user, Pamela’s family called for a divorce, and Pere later joined the military after the marriage crash.
Reacting after Pere was dragged on Twitter, Nollywood actress Lydia Lawrence-Nze in a lengthy post on Instagram, refutes the reports stating it is all attempt to smear Pere’s reputation and ruin his game in the show.
According to the actress, some people are determined to paint the wrong impression of Pere, and many people are joining the bandwagon.
She wrote: From girlfriend to ex-wife…..what a wow. With this particular picture right here, I don’t know who still believes everything they see online. The internet has a way of painting a narrative and we all should be careful about how we indulge and tag along.
Right from day 1, a lot of people are determined to paint a wrong impression of Pere and a whole lot more are joining the bandwagon. Just look at this post, where they had to use me to prove a point, whereas it’s just a complete lie.
Now, I know we all saw what happened yesterday, and was Pere’s confrontation right? NO. But let me be clear on one thing: Pere is my friend and I don’t throw stones at my friends in public. There will always be a time to reprimand them in private when the need occurs, but certainly not in public.
Secondly, even if he was not my friend, I would have still stand by the dude. l have seen this trend between the two housemates and read through a whole lot of conversations: Pere is already portrayed as the villain. If he had coughed during the argument, it would have been said that he tried to spit on Whitemoney.
To conclude, I’m not oblivious to their opinion and I see reasons with people throwing stones at him, everyone is indeed entitled to their opinion. However, I am equally entitled to my opinion and as for me, I will stand with my fave through thick and thin. I don’t know about y’all forcing me to hate him or detest him.
