Asiwaju Lanre Gentry, the ex husband of actress Mercy Aigbe is celebrating his first wedding anniversary today, September 11.
The businessman took to his Instagram page to mark his first anniversary.
Sharing a photo of him and his wife, he appreciated God for upholding their marriage.
“Today makes it one year of our marriage. 11th September 2021, in God I trust and I will always glorify Him. Without Him, who am I? Thank God for the gift of life. Happy Sunday”.
Kemi Filani news reported in 2021 that Mercy Aigbe’s estranged husband Lanre Gentry had finally tied the knot with his staff turned wife in a grand style.
This came a few months after Lanre Gentry revealed he was not at war with Mercy Aigbe after a social media fight during father’s day celebration. He also revealed he had found love again.
In his words: “I do not have a relationship with Mercy, and by the grace of God, I will re-marry in September this year. I have my fiancée that I am going to marry.
So you see that I do not have any issues with her. When it comes to Mercy and me, we are already divorced. She dragged me to five different courts for a divorce, and she has got it. I do not have anything to do with her again.
A video shared by Instagram blogger Gistlovers showed Lanre Gentry and his new wife dancing as the audience cheer them up.
Gistlovers alleged that Mercy Aigbe’s estranged husband impregnated his staff and to cover the shame, he decided to take her as his wife.

Lanre Gentry and his new wife Oluwabusayo welcomed their first child together in February.
Sharing the news on his Instagram, the excited father wrote, “Thank you Lord for the gift of marriage, I’m very happy it is a baby girl thank God.”
The news was welcomed with lots of congratulatory messages from fans of the hotelier.
