The news is coming amid heavy criticisms, especially with Davido’s Lyrics.

Twitter critic, Daniel Regha had the collaboration, stating that while the song was already bad, Davido jumping on the remix made it even worse. He further disclosed that Davido ended up doing a bunch of pointless rhymes and even compared a girl’s body to a natural disaster.

He highlighted another awful line that Davido had expressed in the remix of the song, stating that Davido had compared a man’s feelings to a tricycle (kekenapep) and rounded off his critique by stating that he would give the entire song and the remix a paltry 1 out of 10.

Despite his criticism, the song seems to be doing well.

This new feat adds to the list of achievements for Davido, who is gearing up for the 2024 Grammys on Monday.

His comeback album, Timeless, had brought the singer more recognition and had made him a Grammy nominee. Timeless bagged 3 nominations for Best Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Global Music Album at the 2024 Grammy.

Speaking on his nomination, Davido affirmed that delay isn’t denial, especially since his contemporaries, Burna Boy and Wizkid have been recognized by the academy.

Recently, Davido sent a message to his naysayers and those who underestimated him.

The Afrobeat singer, told his haters and critics never to play with God, as he listed out his wins, noting how people mocked him for not having a Grammy nomination and now he has it and much more.
