The father of famous Ghanaian singer Shatta Wale has urged the general public to pray for his son after unknown gunmen shot him at East Legon on Monday evening.
In a post shared on Instagram, Shatta Wale said the public should remain calm as his family and the Ghana Police service are working to resolve the issue.
According to the singer’s father, Shatta Wale has not been found and assured his fans and well-wishers that the singer has not been pronounced dead.
The post reads: The Mensah’s urge the general public to remain calm as my family and the ghana police service works to resolve the matter.
As it stands Charles Nii Armah Mensah is nowhere to be found and that’s the situation – We want to assure the general public, well-wishers and his fans around the world that he’s not been pronounced dead.

Reacting to this, Shatta Wale, in a post shared on Instagram, bragged about not using his father’s money to show off as he’s a real hustler and make his money himself.
The Ghanaian singer added he started his music career from the bottom. Meanwhile, many Nigerians have pointed that he was speaking about Davido.
