Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw has reacted to the heavy backlash she received for hosting a fundraiser for APC Governor, Hope Uzodinma.
Kemi Filani reported that the movie star, who was a staunch supporter of the Labour Party government and had heavily criticized the APC government, surprised many with her hosting duty for the party.
Kate Henshaw, alongside comedian Okey Bakassi hosted a fundraiser for Hope Uzodinma, an APC governor, in Owerri, Imo State on Thursday night.
The fundraiser was aimed at raising money for the governor who is rerunning for the governorship election.
Videos from the event made rounds online with many heavily criticizing her.
Speaking out, Kate revealed that she woke up to a call from a close friend telling her she was trending online.
Defending herself, she noted how she was invited to host a fundraiser alongside her colleague which she accepted and didn’t see why many are making a fuss about it.
According to her, the difference between her and others is that she will always speak her truth as she sees it.
