Nollywood actor, Kanayo Kanayo is singing the praises of footballer, Victor Osimhen following the victorious win of Super Eagles at the ongoing 2023 AFCON.
Kemi Filani reported that the Super Eagles made Nigerians proud at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) as they defeated Cameroon to reach the quarterfinals with 2 – 0.
Reacting to the news, Kanayo Kanayo sang the praises who gave Nigerians the second goal, declaring him the Footballer of the Year.
Kanayo stated that Victor has shown the stuff a Footballer of the Year is made of.
Congratulating Nigerians, he added that to whom much is given, much is expected.

Also reacting to the victorious win were Adeniyi Johnson and Susan Peters. Adeniyi Johnson stated that he doesn’t stand nonsense as he questioned how he could travel all the way to Cote d’Ivoire and still lose a match. He sarcastically added that if Nigerian had lost the match, he would have resigned as the Assistant Coach.
He predicted that the Super Eagles would defeat Anglo next by 3-0 and went on to mock Ghana.
Susan Peters on her part, had made a mockery of Cameroonians, popularly known as Lion, questioning how they were faring.
Celebrating Super Eagles, she urged her Nigerians to flood her comment section with their identification details.
In other news, Kanayo Kanayo blew hot over the state of things in the industry, stating that Nollywood shouldn’t be a ground for Brazilian Butt Life (BBL), sex workers, Instagram stars, and homosexuality.
The veteran further called out social media influencers, who are now taking over Nollywood, for being the biggest cause of disrespect in the industry. He added that they have limited time in the sun and would fizzle away as fast as they come.
Recently, Kanayo shed light on some of his roles, especially one that involves him going into a coffin.
He revealed why he doesn’t sanctify himself or bind unseen forces when playing roles that involve entering coffins.
