JUST IN: Akeredolu orders indefinite suspension of NURTW activities in Ondo

Following the brutal clash between members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in the Ondo State chapter on Tuesday, the government of the state has ordered the suspension of the activities of the union across the state indefinitely.

Dr. Doyin Odebowale, the Senior Special Assistant of the state government on NURTW Duties and Strategy, has also directed that all members of the NURTW members leave all motor parks across the state with immediate effect.

The government described the clash as unruly and uncultured behavior of the union leaders, resulting in violent attacks on members and innocent citizens.

The state government has blamed the crisis ensued by the NURTW members s unruly and violent behavior on the leaders of the union, causing attacks on members and innocent citizens.

However, the government stated that the suspension does not affect the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria who has carried out their duties with peace, and comported themselves according to the law.
