Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has finally regained freedom after his arrest and brutalisation by Nigerian soldiers on Thursday, 7th October 2021.
Kemi Filani News recalls that Chinwetalu Agu sparked outrage on social media after the Nigerian soldiers arrested him for wearing a Biafran flag outfit at Upper Iweka in Onitsha, Anambra state.
The brutal treatment melted on him was widely condemned by many Nigerians, considering his age and status in society.
In a new video that surfaced online, Chinwetalu Agu said he was wearing is a civil dress and not Biafran regalia or linked to Eastern Security Network.
He refuted the claims that he was soliciting people to join Biafra but was sharing bread at Upper Iweka when he was arrested.

Emeka Rolla for his prompt response on the issue in ensuring that Chiwetagu is release.
Chinwetalu Agu’s colleague noted that the actor is hale and hearty, and nothing happened to him while in the custody of the Nigerian soldier.
Reacting, Chiwetalu Agu expressed appreciation to everyone who had called for his release while advising his fans and supporters not to give up on supporting Biafra.
