Veteran actress, Joke Silva almost broke down in tears during her speech as she received a lifetime award for her husband, Olu Jacobs.
Olu Jacobs whose health is deteriorating has been off the movie scene and public scene for a few years now.
His wife who opened up to Chude Jideonwo, revealed that he was battling with dementia.
According to her, it’s a degenerating disease which affects his brain and his person.
As a result of the disease, the actor couldn’t make it to the honorary event.
Joke Silva and her son, Jacobs junior went on his behalf to receive the award.
The veteran bagged an lifetime achievement award at irep film festival, Lagos.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, RMD congratulated Olu Jacobs for a well-deserved lifetime award during the Afriff event.
He also expressed appreciation to Olu Jacobs and his wife Joke Silva for being gracious and a blessing.
