The death of Grammy-award winning artiste and actor, Louie Rankin, has been announced.
The star died in a car accident on Monday, in Ontario, Canada. The wreck consisted of a truck and another vehicle.
Before his death, Louie Rankin played a drug Lord named Ox in DX’s 1998 film Belly. He started alongside DMX, Nas, Method Man and TLC’s Tionne ‘T-Boz’ Watkins.
Louie Rankin won a Grammy award in 1992 for his track Typewriter.
A tweet from Rankin’s verified account read, ‘It saddens us to have to announce that The “[ORIGINAL] DON DADA” “Trail Blazer” the legend – Louie Ox Rankin passed away this morning!
‘May God keep his soul with his father, sister and [niece] in #heaven #amen #sipox.’
