Artist Iyanya, hailing from Calabar, swiftly took to Twitter to appeal to his fellow Calabar residents for assistance in recovering the stolen items. He began by expressing his disapproval of the act, revealing that such behavior was uncharacteristic of the usually peaceful people of Calabar. Iyanya expressed that Mayorkun was brought to entertain the community, and their responsibility was to ensure his protection and extend warm hospitality.
Iyanya, also showed a commitment to resolve the matter amicably, urged anyone with information about the theft to return the pendants, promising personal compensation. He specified that the items could be dropped off at the hotel where Mayorkun was staying, reiterating his intent to reward the individual responsible for the return.
Shortly after, Iyanya returned to Twitter to convey his appreciation for the swift response from the Calabar residents. He announced that the first pendant and necklace had been recovered, thanking the community for doing what is right.
Today, Iyanya himself took to Twitter to share the good news that the second pendant had also been found. In his words, he expressed gratitude to his Calabar people for their integrity and assistance in recovering the stolen items. He revealed that the pendant was returned to Hit FM Calabar and received by Mr. Duke Emmanuel, who facilitated the transfer of the recovered pendant.
The artist extended sincere thanks to the people of Calabar for their collective effort in bringing back the stolen items and restoring a sense of justice to the situation.
