‘If handsomely paid for a political song, I will accept the offer’ – Singer Dmac YSD

Fast rising Nigerian singer, Marc-Austine Afam better known as Dmac YSD has expressed his position on the forthcoming keenly contested Nigerian presidential election.

The Anambra state Indegene in a phone interview with Kemi Filani News says although he is for a young, vibrant, industrious candidate, he would also not reject any offer to do a political song for any other politician.

He said: “For this forthcoming presidential election, I’m for the candidate that is young, vibrant, industrious. The candidate who is ready to heal the country and restore it to its glory. Well meaning Nigerians must by all means rid themselves of primitive sentiments and vote a credible candidate. There’s no fence sitting in this election. I am openly campaigning for a new Nigeria led by the Labour Party candidate Mr. Peter Obi.”

He further added, “If I’m paid for the job, definitely. Music has the business side to it. So if I’m handsomely paid for a political song, I will accept the offer.”

That not withstanding, the independent artist says he wish any nigerian politician who is accused of embezzlement and corruption, should be sentenced to life imprisonment.

“That is the punishment that best fits this crime. They should rot in jail for life.”

Dmac YSD who has a degree in Geo-Science & Mining from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka also spoke on what he has learned about life in general and what’s the lifestyle of being a celebrity is like.

“I’ve learned to take life easy, one day at a time, stay true to a cause, and achieve each goal one by one. When your cause, brand, and team are aligned, it creates a powerful framework for success. My lifestyle is quite simple, I mind my business a lot, and spend more off-work time in the studio. I only relate with a few friends, especially in the music industry).”
