“Why I wasn’t nominated at AMVCA, the only award I wish to win is…” Ibrahim Chatta breaks silence (Video)

Nollywood actor and movie producer, Ibrahim Chatta has finally broken his silence on being snubbed at the AMVCA 9th edition.

In an interview with an Ibadan radio station, Ibrahim Chatta lamented over how AMVCA don’t give him invite to the prestigious award ceremony.

For him, he isn’t bothered by the lack of acknowledgment as he knows there are lots of actors who are better than him.

However, his major concern is why he doesn’t get invited to the ceremony but his junior colleagues score invites.

Ibrahim Chatta stated that he doesn’t allow it to bother him too much as his eyes are set on getting an Oscar.

“I always thought my work wasn’t good enough but I see my younger colleagues who score an invite to the event.

I don’t want any award to limit me cause I am aiming for the Oscars. If I am focusing on not being nominated at AMVCA, I can lose focus”.

Nigerians react to Ibrahim Chatta’s 2023 AMVCA snub

Kemi Filani reported that Nigerians had angrily reacted to the snub of Ibrahim Chatta by AMVCA. This was after Multichoice announced the nomination lists for the 2023 awards. Nollywood stars such as Kunle Afolayan, Femi Adebayo, Funke Akindele, and others earned big nominations during the announcement.

A Nollywood movie influencer noticed the snub of Ibrahim Chatta during the nomination of Femi Adebayo’s film King of Thieves. His pivotal role contributed greatly to the success of the movie.

Sharing their thoughts online, many noted that Ibrahim Chatta is a brilliant actor who is good at interpreting different roles perfectly. He has delivered perfectly well since the first time he appeared on the screen as an actor.

Also speaking out for him, Ibrahim Chatta’s baby mama, Olayinka Solomon questioned the organizers of AMVCA.

Yinka Solomon shared photos of Ibrahim Chatta’s epic scene from Femi Adebayo’s Ageshinloke, King of Thieves movie. The mother of two queried AMVCA organizers for ignoring the actor from their nomination list.

According to her, Ibrahim Chatta is a versatile actor that should have been included in the nomination for his roles in Ageshinloke.

Yinka Solomon called out the organizers, urging them to release the criteria for winning their awards.

She wrote on Instagram, “Imagine !!! Why would Ibrahim Chatta be excluded from the nomination of AMVCA in the first place?

When we talk about a versatile actor, let’s give it to ibrahim chatta, especially in his roles in AGESHINKOLE
