Afrobeat star Odumodu Bl^ck recently shared a personal story, revealing that he lost his father and shot a music video the next day.
He wants his fans to understand that life goes on despite challenges. Upon learning of his father’s passing, he shed tears at the morgue but later, when fans called his name, he wiped his tears and took photos with them. Life, he emphasized, continues even in tough times.
Earlier, Odumodu stirred controversy by not mentioning Wizkid in his list of top trending artists in Nigeria. This led to some heated exchanges with Wizkid’s fans.
Furthermore, Odumodu and Bella Shmurda encountered a challenging situation when they were reportedly pursued by cultists during a performance at the University of Lagos State, Laso. Fortunately, they escaped unharmed.
Odumodu’s accomplishments include winning the Rookie of the Year award at the 16th Hades Awards and Best Rap Single for his track “Declan Rice” in September.
In October, he turned down a $200,000 offer from a record label, choosing Teezys Native Record Label and its $10,000 offer because he believed it was the best long-term decision.
Also recall that Wizkid FC fans expressed their discontent after Odumodu Bl^ck unveiled his top 5 favorite artists at the moment, and to their surprise, Wizkid did not make the cut. Instead, he listed Burnaboy, Davido, Tems, and Rema as his top 5 favourite artists, leaving Wizkid notably absent from the list.
Odumodu Bl^ck continues to make headlines with his music and life experiences.
