Ooni of Ife’s estranged wife, Queen Naomi has made a gallant return to social media by sharing a first video hours ago, since her break after announcing her separation from the monarch last year.
She reposted a video on her Instastories last night after a makeup session. The video had a song by singer Beeley playing in the background.
The lyrics of the song goes; “I’m a beauri, I be spec, I drip glory, I be nobody’s ex, haters go hate o, potatoes will potate”
Kemi Filani recalls that the queen, Prophetess Seyi Naomi had on December 23, 2021, announced her separation from the king after three years of marriage and an heir to the throne. The Ooni has not spoken publicly about the matter since then.
Queen Silekunola gave many reasons for the crash of her marriage to the Ooni despite her acclaimed ‘enduring attempts’ to save the union.
Naomi left the palace as a result of the brouhaha in the palace, and she was conspicuously absent during the sixth coronation anniversary celebration. She even refused to put up a congratulatory message for the Ooni on social media unlike other wives and chiefs.
Different reports claimed she refused to the palace despite different reconciliatory plans from top dignitaries, hence the Ile Ife traditional council reportedly took a decision to cleanse former queen, Prophetess Seyi Naomi’s aura from the Ooni of Ife’s palace, following her failure to return.
This practice, which is likened to that of ‘Oro’ is a spiritual cleansing of the palace of unwanted persons and spirits. This simply means that Naomi’s flame will never rise in the Giesi royal lineage again. She is simply the mother of Ooni of Ife’s Prince, never a queen.
Kemi Filani recalls that Ooni married Oloori Silekunola Ogunwusi in 2018. The couple welcomed heir prince in 2020.
