Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Mercy Johnson has clarified the misinterpretation regarding the state of her health.
Kemi Filani reported that Mercy Johnson opened up during one of the editions of her TV Show, Mercy’s Menu with Joke Silva that she had a cancer health scare and as a result, she was placed on life medication.
She said, “I had a scare. I had a cancer scare. It was like a journey for us because of the kids. My last born was 6 months at that time. We had to understand that this is our new reality. Let’s get the surgery done. They said I was going to be on medication for the rest of my life. It was a reality that we had to sit down”.
However, the short clip from Mercy Johnson’s programme that made rounds on the internet made her fans misinterpret her health condition as she has been receiving calls and messages regarding her condition.
Mercy Johnson issues PSA
Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of four addressed the issue. She noted in the video of her public service announcement that people misinterpreted her condition and urged them to watch the full clip from the programme episode she talked about her health in order to understand her point.
She said: “Hi guys! ok so first of all I must thank you so much for all of you who have been calling and sending messages and prayers, thank you, I do appreciate it so much but I DO NOT HAVE CANCER!
“I noticed that a clip from my TV show, Mercy’s Menu has been flying around and I think it was cut. They cut the clip. I said I had a cancer scare means that I have this sweeping on my neck (shows her neck), You can see the line there and my doctor felt it was something serious. I had problems with my thyroid, I am perfectly okay.
“Thank you so much for all of your calls and your messages, all these phones have been buzzing like crazy, I am perfectly fine and I DO NOT HAVE CANCER. I’M PERFECTLY OKAY. So thank you so much for checking up on me, thank you for all the messages. Go back and watch the clip, it was completely misunderstood, I’m fine!

Ikechukwu gives an update on his health
Kemi Filani reported that rapper, Ikechukwu Onunaki simply known as Ikechukwu had given a health update on his paralysis.
The rapper, who has been bedridden for weeks, took to his Instagram page to share videos of him trying to get back on his feet. In his caption, Ikechukwu prophesied healings to himself as he promised to never take things for granted.
“Slowly but surely.
I will get back walking, will touch my toes without bending my knees.
I will feel no sharp stabs in my back or legs, and do back flip in February.
All the things I took for granted by letting my regular practices fall off.
Never again as God is my witness and healer.

P.s I will also gain the weight back”.
Ikechukwu opens up on his illness
Recall that during an Instagram live session with media personality, Daddy Freeze, Ikechukwu had claimed he is currently suffering from an illness called herniated disc and acute sciatica which have rendered his entire right side paralyzed.
He stated that the illness has kept him bedridden and he is currently using crutches.
When asked if he was still in Nigeria, Ikechuckwu said he left the country already to seek better medical care abroad after being dissatisfied with what he got.
He said, “Baba I get herniated disc and acute sciatica and it paralyzed my whole right side, lumbar 4 and 5. A whole me can you imagine, na bed wen I don dey since.
“Baba, if you see me, I’m not same person you knew before, the guy who does backflips left and right.
“To waka dey pain me. I no fit waka.
“I pulled it on the 17th in the morning, and instead of calming down, I went to a show I was booked for, the following day, I couldn’t get out of bed. After two more days of dealing with the pain, I had to rush to Evercare Hospital around 3 a.m.
“They put drips in both of my hands with painkillers, which only lasted a little bit, and I no won risk my life with Nigerian healthcare again, so I just got a ticket straight to Yankee.”
