“Pardon us” Funke Etti and Wumi Toriola tender apology to Remi Surutu over their action

Nollywood actresses, Wumi Toriola and Funke Etti have tendered an unreserved apology to their senior colleague, Remi Surutu over their absence at her mother’s burial.

Kemi Filani reported in May, 2022 that Remi Surutu had lost her 101 mother. In December, the actress buried her in grand style, however, many of her colleagues shunned the event.

Taking to Instagram, Wumi pleaded with her fans to help her begged the actress. She revealed that she has been unable to pick Remi Surutu’s call because she was scared the actress would lash out at her.

“I missed @therealremisurutu mum’s burial and I couldn’t even pick call cos I nor wan hear shege. Pls help me apologize to her and tell her I love her”.

Taking to Wumi’s comment section, Funke Etti also apologised to Remi Surutu over her absence a the funeral.

“We plenty, my lovely big sis, e jor pardon wunmi and me too”.

Remi Surutu loses her 101 year old mother

Kemi Filani news recalls in May, Remi Surutu was inconsolable over the death of her 101 year old mom.

Announcing the sad news on her Instagram page in the wee hours of of May 4th, Remi Surutu shared a photo of her mum with the caption “Maami Is Gone at 101, words fail me”

Some of her younger colleagues in the industry have sent in consolatory messages to her.

Wumi Toriola wrote “Hmmmmmmm ,grandma you fought. You lived a fulfilled life @therealremisurutu you did everything humanly possible but God knows best
Grandma, may your soul rest in perfect peace. @therealremisurutu e ku atemora ma”.

Remi Surutu grieves as she remembers late daughter 5 years after her death

Remi Oshodi better known as Remi Surutu is currently grieving the loss of her daughter.

Kemi Filani news reported on July 2nd, 2017 that Remi Surutu’s daughter was announced dead.

Her colleague, Yomi Fabiyi, revealed the sad news on a post he shared on Instagram today. He wrote;
”Rest in Peace AYO. May God grant your mum @therealremisurutu the strength to bear this loss. She did all she can, omg! Aunty Remi, please take heart. Seeing your lifeless body now caused me more pain and it is because I value the friendship we shared. Journey well. In serious pain now.

Since her loss, every July 2nd has always been a sorrowful day for the actress as it marks the day Ayomide left the world.

Taking to Instagram to mourn her, Remi shared a collage of photos of her daughter.

Remi Surutu affirmed her undying love for her.

She wrote, “Rest on my Angel. We love you now and forever”.
